Starting From Scratch
I joined Aldelo as a visual designer in Oct 2017. It just released the iPad POS at that time. After I joined this company, it released Android-based POS, Online Ordering, and other products. This website covers all the latest software and services and helps customers choose them.
The previous website has a vague brand identity and a janky Weebly site that left a lot of room for improvement. The business chose to focus on creating a better e-commerce experience that could directly convert to sales.
Challenge
The website not only faces one type of target audience but also targets multiple audiences, such as 15 types of restaurant owners, and merchant dealers. I needed to understand all features of different products so I can sell them to different audiences.
The president asked our team to make "significant improvements" and redesign the whole website. It not only helps customers subscribe to software and payment services but also drives more traffic.
Solution
From the customer’s perspective, they can find information of the point of sale from one source, and order POS services, instead of multiple sources with inconsistent user experience.
Design methods used during the project included journey mapping, facilitating workshops, user interviewing, usability testing, UI/UX design, and prototyping solutions.

Leveling Up and Re-platforming The Site
During the project, the company planned to launch new services and I add them to the website, such as online ordering, and a loyalty program. I don't only add new pages for the new services, but also added info on the homepage and other pages that related to the services. It helps customers understand and choose the products and services more clearly.

Account Pages
The old website doesn't support customers managing the software subscription by themselves. They have to contact customer service to subscribe or cancel POS software. It's fast and easy to view and edit their profile, orders, and even for multiple stores.
